Position Summary
The Sr. Social Media Manager will expand and engage OBN’s online community while maintaining our communication standards and brand voice. This role involves developing and executing strategic social media marketing initiatives by analyzing social media trends, topical conversations in the motherhood and nutrition space, and emerging platform tactics to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth. Social media management and content creation are a key focus of this role, with an emphasis on messaging and analytics. The Sr. Social Media Manager will collaborate closely with OBN’s Director, Marketing Manager, and Paid Media Specialist to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
With this posting, there is the option to apply for one full-time position as Sr. Marketing Manager, or another part-time position splitting responsibilities:
Sr. Marketing Manager (30 hours/week) covering all marketing responsibilities.
Sr. Social Media Manager or Sr. Email Marketing Manager (15 hours/week each), dividing the responsibilities between social media marketing and newsletter/strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities
Manage and optimize social media accounts to increase visibility and expand our online community.
Develop and execute social media strategies to grow our audience and drive student enrollment.
Create and post engaging content utilizing various content formats across various social media platforms.
Develop relationships with students, graduates, and influencers/content creators to build out our UGC content library and grow our creator network for future projects.
Track and analyze all key social media metrics and generate detailed reports to provide insights and recommendations for future assets and initiatives.
Foster positive interactions and nurture our online community by engaging with followers and responding to comments, mentions, and DMs/messages.
Monitor online conversations through our social media channels and report on findings.
Conduct market research, and analyze social media trends/emerging platform tactics, while staying up-to-date with best practices.
Lead content ideation based on audience insights, brand goals, and industry trends.
Oversee social media content calendar management in Notion, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of posts.
Implement video editing skills to create short-form social content that aligns with current trends.
Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm shifts, and new content formats to optimize engagement and growth strategies.
Education & Experience
Required
Proven proficiency in planning and managing digital media strategies.
Expertise in brand-side social media management and content creation for brand accounts with 50K+ followers.
Understanding of how organic social and paid advertising work together, collaborating with paid media specialists as needed.
Preferred
Proficiency in Figma for content collaboration and design adaptation.
Professional experience with graphic design.
Passionate about or experienced in holistic nutrition.
Interested in wellness for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and babies.
Skills & Qualifications
You must be a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy professional who thrives in an async work environment and can take initiative.
Experience planning and leading online community initiatives.
Ability to identify and track relevant KPIs, as well as interpret and report on social media analytics and provide strategic recommendations based on performance data.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be representing OBN in your communications and content development, which requires you to adhere to OBN’s brand, tone of voice, and values.
Attention to detail, critical thinker, and problem-solver.
Willingness to grow, adapt, learn, and take and apply feedback. This is an ever-evolving role that requires not only teaching, but also learning from peers, supervisors, and students.

Proficiency in Notion for social media calendar management.
Proficiency in Figma and Canva for content creation through the use of templates.
A strong understanding of short-form video content trends and editing techniques for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Knowledge & Access
Software: Proficient in and/or eager to learn social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), design software (Canva, Figma), paid media (Google, Meta, and YouTube), Zoom (video conferencing), Slack, Notion (internal communications), Google Drive (document storage), and any other software we implement in the future.
Reliable internet and computer access, as this is a fully remote role.
Working Conditions
This is a fully remote role and team, which means the working conditions and schedule are up to you. OBN is officially open from Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time; however, you are welcome to set a schedule outside of these hours. You must be available for weekly video meetings with cross-functional teams and your direct manager, as needed.
