OBN Alumni: Paula Saalfeld
Paula spent six years immersed in holistic health—studying nutrition, herbalism, and horticulture—while building a dedicated community through her online platform, @nourishedbypaula. But it was the experience of becoming a mother that deepened her passion for maternal wellness and sparked a desire to formalize her knowledge. This led her to Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition, where she pursued certification to better support mothers and babies through evidence-based care.
What inspired you to focus on maternal and baby nutrition?
Maternal wellness has been a passion of mine for many years, especially since becoming a mother myself. I’ve spent the last 6 years learning and sharing about holistic health, nutrition, herbalism and horticulture—and building an audience on social media through it all.
What led you to choose Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition?
After my son was born, I knew I wanted to do more with this work. I was craving deeper knowledge and a clear path forward. As soon as I discovered OBN, I fell in love. I knew this was the school I had been searching for.
What was your experience like during the program?
OBN helped me connect the dots and gain confidence in everything I had already learned on my own. I loved every part of the curriculum and finally feel ready to step into this work in a more official way.
What are your plans now that you’re certified?
I’m preparing to open a business here in Germany with another nutritionist to support maternal and baby health. I’m also finishing up a book I’ve been writing for the past 1.5 years, and I know I wouldn’t have had the clarity or confidence to complete it without everything I learned through Oh Baby.
Update: Paula has launched her business, Mother Nurture and is now the proud author of “Nourished Mama” and “Nourished Baby”.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Thank you so much for everything you’ve created. It’s been such a transformative experience for me and I’m so excited for what’s ahead!
